2021Website Redesign
Georgia Department of Agriculture
The Georgia Department of Agriculture is a state agency responsible for promoting and regulating agriculture and agribusiness in Georgia. Its mission is to foster a thriving agribusiness climate that benefits farmers, consumers and the economy. GDA needed an updated website that was easier for users to navigate and find essential information about GDA's programs and regulations

Challenge

The Georgia Department of Agriculture (GDA) grappled with an outdated website causing user navigation issues and impeding access to crucial information. The platform lacked user-friendly features, resulting in a cumbersome experience. Moreover, reliance on manual, paper-based forms led to inefficiencies and increased unsolicited phone calls. Our project swiftly addressed these challenges: enhancing website usability, digitalizing forms, and boosting overall form usage.

The Solution

Information Architecture Improvements

We restructured the website’s information architecture, organizing it into clear divisions for effortless navigation. This optimized layout ensures users can quickly find essential information about GDA’s programs and regulations, fostering a user-friendly and intuitive experience.

The Solution

Authentic Georgia Brand

Introducing a new brand, we aimed to infuse the user experience with a genuine Georgia feel. Aligning with GDA’s mission and Georgia authentic “local farmer” vibes, it’s peachy.

The Solution

Improved Form Experience

Prioritizing digital processes, we enhanced the form user experience with intuitive design and simplified structures. This not only made digital forms more accessible but also aimed to boost form usage on the website, promoting efficiency in data collection and submission.

We also added a notification feature so people can follow their applications through their email accounts and sms.

The Solution

Efficient Article Scanning

We focused on streamlining articles to make them quick to scan and easy to navigate. Implementing concise formatting and clear headings, we aimed to facilitate quick comprehension and provide users with the ability to seamlessly navigate through articles. Additionally, we incorporated strategic linking to connect users with relevant content, ensuring a more efficient and engaging reading experience.

The Solution

Design System for fast page iteration

In our pursuit of optimizing the website’s functionality, we implemented a robust design system tailored for swift page creation and iteration. This systematic approach ensured consistent visual elements, layouts, and interactive components, expediting the development process. By adhering to a standardized design language, we not only accelerated page creation but also facilitated seamless iteration. This design system not only promotes efficiency but also maintains a cohesive and polished look across the website, contributing to a unified and user-friendly online experience.
